Wolter Kramer

candidate for municipal council

Wolter Kramer has lived in the old center of Diemen since he was five years old. A true Diemenaar* He sat on the WMO council for the municipality, which advises the municipality. Due to his visual impairment, Wolter experiences many obstacles within the municipality, such as accessibility to brochures, the website, road modifications, and the like. His proposal to the municipality to inform disabled people about changes to the street scene was rejected on the grounds of privacy law. Even if he signs up for this, the municipality is unwilling to cooperate. Because of this bureaucracy, Wolter has decided to register as a candidate for the municipal council with the Independent Party Diemen. Because decisions are made in the council, and for Wolter, short lines of communication are the only solution to get things done.
